Rami Issa, President of the Syrian Basketball Federation, has launched a comprehensive plan aimed at rebuilding the sport and improving its administrative and technical structure. The plan focuses on supporting clubs, developing a professional system, and restructuring the league and Syrian Cup, with special attention to youth categories and women’s basketball.

The federation also aims to diversify funding, enhance coaches’ skills, and rehabilitate sports halls in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the private sector.

Issa highlighted preparations for the national team ahead of the World Cup qualifiers, emphasizing the importance of fan attendance and ensuring safe and well-organized matches.

Through this vision, the federation seeks to restore trust and popularity to Syrian basketball after years of decline.
